I know this thread has been quite for awhile, but I'm dying to ask: What is the trigger like?

I've shot a CZ75 SP-01 and a Sig P229. both had a double action option on the trigger.

The CZ (while an awesome gun) had a long "stagey" and "gritty" DA trigger pull. The SA was better
The Sig, was smooth as silk and easy to pull consistently. Only issue I personally had was no SA option.

I'm considering the FNP USP but am weary about the DA pull.

Remember, this is coming from a guy who loves the triggers on a Glock and 1911.

Have you looked at the FNS? Its basically a stiker fired FNP.

I didn't know that. Now you've given me something to research rather than doing work (dang you)!!

Double action is long and heavy, no two ways about it. But I don't use the double action. For my EDC and in competition I carry "cocked and locked." The single action is quite good, it's very short and only has a tiny bit of "mushyness" in it. It doesn't break quite as cleanly as some SAO guns, but I like it quite a lot. As for the FNS suggestion, I'm actually thinking on getting an FNS-9 "for my wife." ;)

Went out and rented one the other day and really liked it. This has moved into the "find an excuse for the wife to get one" category.

I want one of these so bad!

Congrats on the great gun! Are you going to get a suppressor for it. Slincerco makes a great one for it.

Someday... I bought this before I got married.

*Sigh*

My brother in law has the Silencerco Osprey suppressor for his FNP 45 Tactical and it is AWESOME! Tell your wife it's a necessity, and hopefully she'll understand

Haha, I'll go with the 'hearing protection' argument I think. ;)

I have the FNX-9 with the DA/SA trigger and while I agree that the double action is long and heavy, it's something you get used to and after a few rounds doesn't really affect accuracy all that much. Besides you always have the option of reaching up with your thumb and cocking the hammer, turning it into a SA basically.

I like the option of being able to carry one in the tube, but be "a little" more difficult to fire the first round. Almost like a second safety. You definitely aren't going to pull the trigger by accident.

I'm a big Sig Sauer fan, except for the price, and the DA/SA "Sig" feel was what sold me on the FNX. My next gun will most likely be a Sig, but it may be awhile.

Anyway, my two cents.
