My Last CFP Class In Utah (May 22nd)

Postby Dustin WJ on Fri 11 May 2012 2:21 pm

I've been hired as a traveling instructor to teach the Utah CFP class in other states. In doing so, I've signed a non-compete agreement, which means that I will no longer be offering the classes that I teach in my home. However, I will be teaching one last class before I begin my new job. It will be held in my West Jordan Home on Tuesday, May 22nd, at 6:00 PM. The cost will be $30 per person and it includes the fingerprints and photos. If you or someone you know would like to attend, just send me a PM or call me at 801-671-5379 and I'll give you the exact address.

Also, to all of you who have taken my CFP class over the past few years, THANK YOU!!!

Good luck to you in your new endeavor, Dustin. Hopefully you will still be available and active on this board!
What part of "Shall not be infringed" is not being abused today!

Even Knights had "Modern" weapons!

Absolutely! :D I won't offer my own firearm training outside of the company that hired me, but nothing else will change.

That's cool. Good luck. Are they paying for instructor renewals and all that?

There was no talk about that, but I have no problem with doing that myself.

Question....

Since you've been hired to teach UTAH permit classes OUTSIDE of Utah does your "non-competition" agreement actually include restrictions IN Utah as this would not be a "competition" due to being out of their business area... Just thinking! :dunno:

It does include Utah because they do offer some Utah classes; just not very many.

So are you quiting your day job, or is this a weekend gig?

I'm leaving my job at Lowe's. (The pay at Lowe's is terrible anyway.)
