Headed to Frontsight in a week

I've had two friends go there and speak very highly of it. I'll be attending the 4-day defensive hand gun course next week. I'm pretty excited about it. I'll let everyone know how it goes (from the perspective of a total rookie with guns). Anyone here been? Have any advice?

Got it. Water and sunscreen. Have a nice bush hat as well. Just picked up my holster so I should be set.

Sounds like it will be a lot of fun. I'm seriously considering a lifetime membership.

Polygon, I bought the diamond lifetime membership...I think about 18 months ago and just now finally got to go!

It was AWESOME. Bear in mind that I owned my first handgun as of Christmas, 2011. I'm a newbie. But I felt so comfortable with my gun by the end of it, it was just great. The instructors know their stuff, but also know their audience. They don't come across as anything but professional.

I was also pleased to win the man vs. man competition.

The most enlightening was the morning of day three where we cleared a "house" of paper targets. The two days prior of training went completely out the window and for some reason I only took head shots the entire time :)

I'm going to convince my brothers and dad to buy memberships as well. The next time I go, hopefully it'll be with my wife.

Yeah, I think I'm convinced as long as I can find someone to sell me some. I want to get one for myself and one for my father at the very least. I've also got a couple of friends that are interested as well.
