PPQ bandwagon...

Postby PorterN on Thu 29 Mar 2012 8:39 pm

I'm on it!!!!

I bought a PPQ and took her to the range today for the first time. Plenty of people have full reviews, ranting and raving about the different features, but all i want to say is that this is one ACCURATE gun, and is a dream to hold and shoot!! everyone's raves primarily include trigger, trigger, trigger! - yes, the reset is extremely short, and yes, the trigger is very smooth, and is pretty awesome by itself, but this gun is awesome!!

whatever really *makes* this gun, it works well for me! I was hitting similar groups at 10 yards with the PPQ as i can currently hit with my current carry weapon - the Sig 229.

EDIT: took her to the range again today for another 400 rounds of flawless and accurate fun!

I took my PPQ out to the range again yesterday and burned up another 400 rounds with absolutely no issues. This gun is AMAZING.

I posted a thread about this gun not to long ago as well. viewtopic.php?f=8&t=14030

From everything I’ve heard, it seems like an awesome gun! I really want to get one, but sadly haven’t done so yet. My wife and I just bought a house this month so I’m probably a couple months out before I can pick up a PPQ.

I’m glad to hear that you like it! Did you get it in 9mm or .40? It’s ironic, because like you, my main carry gun is also the Sig P229. I’ve carried a .40 for about 5 years now, but I think I’m going to get the PPQ in 9mm. I’m really looking forward to shooting one!

B Cart -

I got the 9mm. I've owned a couple 40s but sold them. I'm primarily just a 9mm shoorter - but I know i'll eventually own one .45 - a 1911, of course.

I think I was looking at one (or one that looks like it) and it had that Crazy CA loading, IF the slide was locked back after an expended Mag, you had to eject the mag, close the slide, load in another, and then rack the slide again.
People say I should not carry because it's not the Wild West. I say I carry because its much worse. Only 3 people died at the at the O.K. Corral and its a part of our nations history. If 3 people died in a 30 sec shootout today It might not make the news.

So I finally bought a PPQ yesterday :dancing: . I took it to the range today and put 100 rounds through it. I did a little write up about the gun with some pictures of the first 30 shots or so, in this thread: http://www.utahconcealedcarry.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=14030

So far I really like it!
