I have had many students NOT start their firearms training because they were concerned that they weren't ready for a "Tactical" or "Advanced" or "Insert intimidating class title here" class. All telling me "If you do a beginner's level class, I would attend.

If you were that person.. Well.... THIS CLASS IS FOR YOU!!!

I will be teaching Utah's first 'Introduction to Defensive Pistol' course for Suarez International, one of the largest firearms training groups in the country, on April 28th, 2012. This class is essential for the previously un-trained, or new firearm owner. If you or your spouse have a firearm in your house, but wouldn't feel comfortable using it to defend the lives of your family members, you must bridge the gap and start your training now! Take that first step in gaining confidence and skill with a firearm.

For course information, and to register click here: http://www.suarezinternationalstore.com ... ty-ut.aspx Space for this event is limited, please register early!

You should be OK to wait until after Christmas to register. There are only a few spots taken at this point.

I look forward to training with you!

Mark, are there any spots left in this? I have someone I might like to buy a spot for in this class.

+1 :D

Shot placement is King, penetration is Queen, but a wide wound channel is the Ace in the hole.

100 rounds minimum. I'd bring at least 150. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. ;)

I got another student for the class. (I should get a commission) :lol3:
Any way ran into someone I know at Discount Guns and we started talking, mentioned I'm attending the class and say " do you wanna' go?" He thinks says "Ok." I signed him up over my phone and he hands over the cash and we will be there.
So what equipment should we have? I know the weapon and ammo, but how many mags. type of holster, belt or EDC or both, etc?
I should probably go look at the website.

edit:
checked the website and all the info is there.

Thanks! Dry fire practice, trigger control. HARD focus on the front sight (Moyler's dry fire fundamentals class tought me these skills and many more). And one more thing, I have an interarms 30-06 that I've been hunting with since I was 16.

The gun does everything I ask it to do, with only one flaw. It has about a quarter inch of trigger travel. To adjust, I've applied this rule: when my scope (or front sight in this case) moves off target, I stop pulling the trigger, hold it where it is, breathe, place the scope/sight back where it needs to be, and continue squeezing that trigger.

Great class mark, thanks for the excellent instruction, I WILL be taking more Suarez classes as my budget allows. My personal favorite of the day was this one, draw-fire-reholster-repeat. The top plate is mine, from 3 yards. All around great class, learned a lot. Highly recommended :D
