I would love to go. Anyone know if I can bring Gladys?

It would be great to be able to push her around in the stroller; get a little exercise. Don't see it as a problem; she'll have a diaper on. :grinningjester:

I'll check with some friends that have actual children and see if they want to go also. :dancing:

Hmmmm I'll have to see if I can get this little bit of time away from work to bring my brother with me to this. Joshie loves the zoo and this is the perfect excuse to take him.

Getting anxious. An OC event is about the only way I can justify the admission fee to the zoo.

I just looked at the Hogle Zoo web site and noticed that May 21 is free military day:

Salute our Military Day

Start: Saturday, May 21, 2011
End: Saturday, May 21, 2011
Times: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
In honor of all those who serve, join in as we celebrate our armed forces with a special flag raising ceremony, and color guard performance. A variety of vehicles, equipment, and displays from various branches of the military will be on grounds.

As a thank you from Hogle Zoo, all military personnel, veterans and their immediate family (spouse and any children 18 and under) will receive free admission to the Zoo. Show your military or veteran organization ID, discharge papers or other official military identification to receive free admission.

We went to the zoo Friday after work, I OCed while there, not a word from anyone. What time is everyone planning on meeting and where?
My wife has to work the Ogden Marathon that day but will be released at noon, so we would get there around 13:00.

We plan on going to the Living Traditions Festival that weekend and I found out today that they will NOT allow Gladys into the Zoo at all. I don't get it.... I can't bring an animal into the zoo to see other animals in cages? What is this world coming to? Would someone please explain this to me? :lolbang:

Is it a service animal?
People say I should not carry because it's not the Wild West. I say I carry because its much worse. Only 3 people died at the at the O.K. Corral and its a part of our nations history. If 3 people died in a 30 sec shootout today It might not make the news.

Is there a specific time that a majority of people are planning on meeting? For the group discount we need to get 20+ people to enter the zoo at the same time, we would need one person to pay, so you would need cash, in exact change.

I was thinking 10:30 or 11. Get there a bit early before it gets to hot? what time would work best for people

Scratch us out for the group discount. I think we will try and be there around 10. But it looks like Les Schwab has some discount coupons that will save us some money above and beyond the group discount.

I'm sure it won't be too hard to meet up once people get there. But if anyone see's an overweight man wearing an xdm9c in a serpa, holding hands with a hottie wearing a cw9 in a leather owb holster, while towing a wagon with three toddler aged kids; you have spotted us.

Any update on getting a pavilion for lunch or anything?

Darn, I found out I'm going to have to miss this one. I was looking forward to it.

I found out that an annual safety seminar is scheduled for Saturday followed by two fireworks shoots.
