Open Carry event Hogle zoo

Postby Kloutier on Tue 22 Mar 2011 8:43 am

I would like to organize an OC event at the zoo. Since they where nice enough to change their gun policy I think its time we make em happy for doing so. Before I do to much by calling people and such I wanted to make sure people would want to come.

Right now I am thinking on May 21st (Saturday)

People say I should not carry because it's not the Wild West. I say I carry because its much worse. Only 3 people died at the at the O.K. Corral and its a part of our nations history. If 3 people died in a 30 sec shootout today It might not make the news.

I'm in, I LOVE the zoo... Go 3-4 times a year.

It will be me for sure, and the kids too depending on if I have them that day.

If it was on a Saturday with good weather we would be very interested. The boss has been hounding me for a year to take the kids.

Tentatively count us in for 5.

The zoo does group discounts if you get 20 or more people. No reservations required. One person has to pay and you all have to go in at the same time. Its a dollar off per person I believe.

I am willing. Did an OC to the zoo a year or so ago with my grand-daughter. Not a bad experience had once you get past the "we got you trapped inside so you WILL pay our 'tourist trap' fees for everything you buy in the zoo!" pricing structure!

Sounds like fun. Count me in (assuming nothing work-related comes up, of course).
