utah transplant

Postby Drv on Tue 22 May 2012 6:41 pm

I moved to Utah about 4 years ago from California. Since moving here i have been pretty broke. i recently started a new job so being able to purchase fire arms will be possible. I figured this would be a good site to cruz around and gain information. I plan to get a CCW permit in the future after becoming more familiar with fire arms and Utah's laws concerning them.

Welcome. I have been learning a lot here. Utah has a lot of really great laws for guns. I would suggest taking some of the CFP or other training courses available here. There is a lot of good information and no reason to get more familiar with a firearm before taking the class. There are also some basic training classes from what I have seen. Although money can be an issue, and I completely understand that. Glad you are getting back on your feet.

My job will offer some fire arms trainings. I will probably finish their course then go on to gain more information. That way I only have to learn one way to do things for now, since failing to do it the "right way" may cost me the job.

Welcome from Provo!

Like jktseug said, be sure to check out the training section here on the forum. We're lucky to have many spectacular instructors.
I looked up "Ninjas" at Thesaurus.com.

Thesaurus.com: "Ninjas can not be found."

Well played, Ninjas. Well played.

I also grew up in CA. Not sure I will ever live there again after getting used to UT gun laws.
