I know that Wahsatch doesn't have an issue with chrono's, peeps set them up all the time, almost always one or two there when I'm shooting. I've also set up more than one target stand when it wasn't busy...they're flexible. Not sure about practicing drawing, etc...never done it there, nor seen anyone else do it. But all in all, I like the controlled environment of a range, assuming multiple shooters. If you're all by yourself, or with a buddy or two that you can trust, then I think a private range would be great.
Anyway, for this month I'm mostly shooting indoors at Impact, since they give you the free range pass with a gun purchase..

They've recently been a bit nit-picky with those range passes, limiting use to 1 hour when they're busy, which has been almost every day this summer.
