Just because I will be OC'ing does not mean you HAVE to OC.... Don't do anything you are NOT comfortable with. LOL

I'm fine OC, just using you as a convenient excuse. Can't beat the SERPA on a bike, except maybe shoulder, but I almost feel too Dirty Harry Callahan with an OC shoulder rig.

Well, might not make it. My oil pan gasket just took a dump, so I'll see if I can get it fixed in time. Speaking of dumps, oil all over the rear tire makes dumping the bike very likely and riding a whole new experience. LOL

Would that be equivalent to the ubiquitous "super slide"?

Pretty much, but not so sure about the super part.

I went on the Fallen Officer Memorial ride again.... A good friend of mine from High School (1975) who was also in my same LDS ward was shot and killed in Garfield County when he as a Sheriff's Deputy stopped a pickup for erratic driving. While he was engaged with the driver at the front of the patrol car in full view of the dash camera the passenger exited the vehicle, shot Deputy David Jones with a rifle and then both of the criminals FLED the scene.

Dave's body was found on the ground in front of his patrol vehicle some time later as they were investigating why they couldn't reach him by radio and had not heard from him for a period of time.

I had actually lost contact with Dave shortly after I had gotten married and he joined the military. i had made some efforts to locate him with the advent of the "Internet" but with "JONES" as a last name, I did not have much success.

I heard the name of the Deputy who was killed in the line of duty and did not discover he WAS my high school friend until THE DAY AFTER HIS FUNERAL SERVICES in 2003.

And to make this somewhat related to OC, I did see Lady Isadora and Big Leroy both OC'ing and Timp Harley and at the State Capitol. Did not make contact with anyone else. If you were there and I ignored you (didn't see or recognize you in person) I apologize.

The ride was awesome. Coffee was a bust. I met JoeSparky and his Sweet ride/ transformer (will try to post some pics at some point in the correct photo forum)
Saw someone else there OC in a red shirt with a print on the back that looked like wings, didnt say hello though...Orrin Hatch was talking then I got talking then...well blah blah blah..this is the wrong thread for "I saw you" anyway.
So thanks for the ride guys. Hope we can do another real soon.

I know this is short notice, but the Golden Spike Bikers ( http://www.goldenspikebikers.com ) will be having a ride up the Mirror Lake Highway this Saturday, Sept 17th. I know it is the same day as the BBQ, but I am hoping to get back in time to attend both. We are meeting at 9a.m. at the Tesoro gas station located at Hwy 89 and 2600 N in Ogden then again at 10a.m. at the Sinclair Gas Station in Mountain Green (Trappers Loop turn off). You are welcome to OC with this group and all bikes are welcome. This is a generic motorcycle group, not associated with any manufacturer of motorcycle,the only criteria is that you enjoy to ride. (Why no smilies on motorcycle?)
