How long it takes to receive a Utah CFP

It appears to me that the length of time for renewal varies with an individual's location.

I'm in Missouri and my Utah permit is expiring in May of this year. Any suggestions as to when to send in the renewal form?

I got mine today. All the paper work was mailed in late November but they didn't get around to charging my card until Dec. 24th. About 28 days from when I mailed it to when they charged my card and another 44 days to get it.

I just got mine in the mail today!! I turned it in on 12-21-09 in person at the BCI. They ran my card right then and there. 46 days wasn't too bad. I'll admit I've been anxiously checking the mail since about day 35.

Who knows... kinda stinks though... I've been waiting 47 days and still nothing... hopefully it will come on day 48

I agree that it takes much longer than it should, but the fact that it's the most widely accepted concealed permit in the US might have something to do with it. There are a lot of out-of-staters that apply.

Ah never thought about that... but that does make a lot of sense. I guess it is a good thing it takes that long then... I rather have a longer waiting period if it covers a ton of states like the Utah permit... that just made me feel a lot better about the waiting time thanks!

I took the class on Dec 20, 2009-sent it in on Tuesday the 22nd and they charged my card on 12/31/2009. I received it yesterday 2/16/2010--47 days. Not bad-I was expecting 3 months.

Interesting. I dropped mine off in person a day before you and received mine on the 6th. So it's about a 10 day difference between mail in and in person.

Yes, on this spreadsheet. I was also automatically generating some charts from it (linked from the first post in this thread), but the code broke and I haven't fixed it.

Mailed app from Truckee, CA Dec 18th, Utah signed for and CC charged on Dec 21st and arrived USP in Texas on Feb 17th. That's 59 days from date Utah received to arriving USP to Texas.
